Does the reader need an account or an app?

No. They open a normal web link in any browser on desktop or mobile. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.

Are my own views counted?

No. Views from you and your team are suppressed, including when you preview a document from the app, so your numbers reflect real readers.

Can I reset the analytics on a link?

Yes. Workspace admins can reset a link's analytics, for example after a dry run. The reset is recorded for audit.
